Dear Friends,
Happy spring! The first three months of 2025 were among our busiest yet and a testament to the urgent global need for Communication 4 ALL’s resources and advocacy. In January, we launched ten new C4A Academy instructional videos. Two more videos on the critical topic of Open Communication were added in February. To date, this one-of-a-kind resource has received over 20,000 views impacting an estimated 3,734 nonspeakers. And our Facebook community is thriving, having grown to almost 1,000 enthusiastic members.
Our mission for communication equality is global. In February, I presented at the national PARIVAAR conference in Kolkata, India. PARIVAAR is a parent-led organization for families with autism or other developmental disabilities with 300+ chapters across the country. The auditorium was packed with representatives from 21 of India’s 29 states. Afterward, we presented to seven local organizations serving individuals with autism on how they could use C4A Academy in their curriculums. We are excited to work with these dedicated organizations in India.
Our mission for communication equality is legislative. At the end of 2025, the Autism CARES Act was reauthorized including a provision for communication research and assistance. Communication 4 ALL had many meetings on Capitol Hill to advocate for this important addition. In January, I was honored to be elected a co-chair of the Autism/Developmental Disabilities Task Force for the Consortium for Constituents with Disabilities (CCD), a disability rights umbrella organization with 115 members. A major focus for this CCD Task Force is the implementation of the Autism CARES Act.
Our mission for communication equality is service. Demand for C4A’s cardboard stencil sets has exceeded our expectations! In three months, we’ve mailed 250 sets around the world and just ordered 500 more.
